Kicking back in the capital

Not much to tell in this blog. After arriving in Bogota I spent a couple nightsout on the town and watched world cup Rugby during the days. Going out in Bogota is tough. There aren't many nightclubs, rather there are heaps of houses that people will hire out to DJ's and the likes who make their own parties. The only way to findout about them is by knowing someone or finding a flyer. It makes for a pretty interesting social scene but it is hard to find out where everyone is. Wasn't heaps exciting but I don't think we found the best spots. The weather turned bad after I arrived so it gave me a good excuse to lie on the couch and do nothing fora few days. Would have been better if Australia won the Rugby because the place was full of poms. On Monday I strolled around a bit in between the rain, there's not heaps to do in Bogota as a tourist so it made lying on the couch even better. After I caught up with a mate I met in Ecuador. He's Argentinian but studies in Bogota so it was good to catch up again. Tuesday I went to the Gold Museum in Bogota. It was pretty cooll to see all the artifacts made by theColombian Indians, amazing what they were able to do. But it's not too big so didn't take long to get around. Today I flew out to Miami for a few days.

Bogota was just good to chill. The food was cheap, the area I was staying in was the colonial area andall the Universities are in that area so it has a cool vibe. I enjoyed it even though looking back I did bugger all.
